Regulators and Congress Want Fancy Fannie Gardens to Go

WASHINGTON (UPS) -- Angry senators, while grilling senior executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are collectively furious at the fanciness and the obviously very well manicured gardens at the two organizations' headquarters.

"Just how many varieties of flowers are there?" Quizzed an obviously agitated senator during a heated exchange in Friday morning's session.

Subsequent conferring with counsel produced the expected response, "Enough .... Senator to provide that germination will not follow seasonal dependencies and will, in fact, present a brilliant flora virtually every day of the year."

Rebuked, but not shaken, the Senator's time eclipsed with no substantive response.
